On October 15, 2012, the Urban Health Initiative and The Center for Health Administration Studies at the University of Chicago hosted “Changing Landscape: Impact of Health Reform and Policy on Safety Net Providers.” One of the extinguished speakers at the event was Dr. Derek Robinson, a graduate of our EM Residency Program (Class of 2005). Dr. Robinson gave a presentation titled “Delivering High Value Care to Patients: The Roles of the ACA and Safety Net Providers.”
Dr. Derek J. Robinson, MD, MBA, FACEP is the Executive Director for the IHA Institute for Innovations in Care and Quality and advocates transforming Illinois’ health systems to optimize patient care. He is an adjunct Assistant Professor in Emergency Medicine at Northwestern University.
